Introduction

In this edition of the Quillette podcast, I talk to Freya India. Freya is the author of the long-running Substack newsletter Girls: Girlhood in the Modern World. Today, I talk to her about her new book, Girls: Gen Z and the Commodification of Everything, in which she discusses the unsettling, emotionally numbing and anxiety-provoking experience of growing up as a girl in a world in which virtual interactions have increasingly come to substitute for face-to-face human contact. I hope you enjoy my interview with Freya India.
